'TILL NEXT TIME, GOODBYE

Image
Before I take this course my view about technology integration in English language teaching was not exactly the same as my current view. Of course I was aware of the fact that technology is an important part of our lives and integrating it in many areas can be beneficial and helpful. but to be honest, I didn't think technology can be as productive as it is fun for educational purposes. Maybe it's because I haven't witnessed such things before.  I had not done the assignment examples I did for this course before. Thanks to this course, I realized that there are many educational, efficient and entertaining ways of teaching through technology.       I did many tasks for this course this semester. Some of them were easy for me and some were relatively more difficult. When I think about it, I guess the one I liked the most was to prepare a poster . I really enjoyed preparing my music-themed magazine cover. The one I liked the least might be preparing a public service anno

I HAVE AN ANNOUCEMENT!

Hello everyone!!!      This time I am here with another project. Me and my group mates decided to make a Public Service Announcement. The topic we selected for the project is Daily Prevention Actions for Covid-19.      We mostly used Canva for this Project. We also found royalty-free videos that we used on PSA on Pexels . We made a distribution of parts and voiced our own section. After making the necessary adjustments in the sound recordings, we combined the materials we prepared.       Since this was a group assignment and I was far from my other group friends due to the pandemic, it took a little longer than I thought to complete the project. but I think we have overcame this by using a proper plan and the necessary tools.       I think this is a task I can assign to my students in the future, as it is a project that I think can improve students' group work skills.      Don't forget to check out my group mates Beyza and Ahmet 's blog! See you next time!!

A VISUAL LEARNING CLASSIC: INFOGRAPHIC

Image
Hello everyone      My task for Educational Technology course this week was to create an infographic. For those who dont know what infograhic means,   according to the Oxford English Dictionary, an infographic   is “a visual representation of information or data.”   I used Canva to prepare this assignment.      Infographics we needed to prepare were supposed to be about online higher education in Turkey during the pandemic. I did research on this topic and took notes that I thought were important.   You can see all of them below, in the infographic I prepared.      I also wrote some tips that I thought could help to be successful and productive in online education during this difficult period.   If you want to learn more tips on this topic, you can find the resources I used here and here.      Researching a topic and visualizing it can be an instructive and fun method for my future students so I will definitely recommend it to them. See you next time!!
