Hello everyone

    I am here with my last task for the material design in ELT course. My task this time was to prepare a Webquest. What we had to do for this task was to choose a project from the sample coursebook given by our teacher and turn it into a technological project. And again, with my friend Beyza, we chose a project from the sample coursebook. The project we chose is to prepare a poster about protecting our nature.

    In the task we designed on Canva, we first informed the students about the subject in the instruction section. Then, in the task and process section, we explained to the students what they need to do and the steps to do it. We directed students to several websites that provided information about getting to know and protecting our nature. Afterwards, we asked the students to write a 100-word paragraph as far as they learned from these sites, and we put a sample of the paragraph we wanted for the students to review. After this exercise task, it was time to prepare the poster, which was the main task. We asked our students to create posters on Canva, and we also included step-by-step screenshots and a tutorial video for them to learn how to use Canva. We also put up a sample poster for students to review.

    In general, it was one of the tasks that I had the most fun doing and it was a task that I hope will be useful for my future students as well. You can see our task below.

     Hello everyone!      This week our homework for Education  Technology  course   was to write and publish an article about the books we recommended on the wiki page that our teacher opened for us. The book I chose for this assignment was 'Of Mice and Men’. For the book review, I wrote the plot summary without spoilers and some fun facts about the book.      The writing part was easy, but I had a little difficulty with pictures, tables and alignment. But after some time I spent trying to figure out what I had to do in front of the computer, I think I got over the whole thing quite well.      It was fun to write about a book I loved. MY FIRST PODCAST

  Hello!!  This week my assignment for Educational Technology course was publishing a podcast. Even though I enjoy listening to podcasts, I never thought of publishing a podcast myself. I recorded a podcast episode through this lecture, albeit in amatory.       I had a hard time at first, as I had not tried streaming podcasts before. But as I worked on it and tried new methods, I also experienced the fun part. I tried to do my best within the time given to me.      I wanted the question I was going to ask for the podcast to be especially about English education. And for this task, I asked ten different people the same question: What do you think is the biggest deficiency in English education in your country?       Thank you to everyone who answered my question for creating this podcast. LET'S CREATE DIGITAL BOARDS!

Hello everyone!!      This week for my Educational Technologies course I tried Padlet . Padlet is a digital board application. We observed that the application is very useful with my friends with whom I did the homework.  It was easy to write text, add images and links to the boards. Especially, the feature of customizing your boards for yourself and making them remarkable  helped us a lot.       Together with my group mates, we created our digital board about unemployment. First we wrote   to our existing information about unemployment, then we stated the questions we were curious about the subject and the items we wanted to know. And in line with these questions, we did research on unemployment.      In line with my experiences with the padlet application, I think it is effective and fun for students to share their ideas.
